CEO & Founder
Reza Etedali is the founder and CEO of REZA Investment Group and has over 30 years of experience in real estate development, ownership, management, and brokerage. He has been involved in billions of dollars in retail real estate transactions, which include the sale of high profile shopping centers, regional malls, and retail shopping center portfolios. He and his firm have represented the who’s who of private clients, institutional and international investors, and financial institutions.
Throughout his career, Reza has been involved in many transactions including stabilized and value-added sales for institutions, large private owners, and lenders. Although his focus has been the Western U.S., Reza, along with his team, has been named “the undisputed king of Southern California shopping center sales” by Costar, and has received much public applause for his unique business model and his ability to close deals in even the toughest market environments.
Reza is also an active member of Young/World Presidents’ Organization (YPO/WPO), the International Council of Shopping Centers, and is actively involved in a number of charitable organizations. Mr. Etedali received an MBA degree with a focus in Real Estate Finance and Marketing from the University of Southern California, where he is a frequent guest lecturer.
Ramez Barsoum specializes in advising REZA Investment Group’s clients on retail asset acquisitions and dispositions in the Western U.S. and has closed on or contributed to billions of dollars of retail asset transactions. He oversees and is directly involved in business development efforts, transaction negotiations, and client relations. With over 15 years of experience with the REZA team, Ramez also plays a key role in forming and implementing the company’s overall strategy including strategic planning, operations, and corporate and event marketing.
Before joining REZA Investment Group, Ramez served as the Co-Founder and Director of Client Solutions for Irvine-based Intelligent Horizon, a start-up in the management service provider/data warehousing industries. Ramez holds a MBA degree with an emphasis in Real Estate and Marketing from the Paul Merage Graduate School of Business at the University of California, Irvine.
Aaron Bettencourt oversees the team’s analysis, underwriting, and execution of all transactions within the REZA Investment Group platform; specializing in asset valuation, financial modeling, lease analysis, and escrow/transaction management. Aaron and his team have been involved in the underwriting of billions of dollars of retail projects throughout the Western U.S. With over 20 years of experience with the REZA team, Aaron’s depth and breadth of experience drives significant value for the company’s client base, and his hands-on approach to managing the team and process of thoroughly underwriting assets at the inception of a listing assignment through meticulously managing the escrow process to closing is a key factor that differentiates the REZA platform from the competition.
Aaron holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate Law from the California Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Cyrus Chini specializes in advising REZA Investment Group clients on retail asset acquisitions and dispositions in the Western U.S. and is the primary broker liaison.
Prior to joining REZA Investment Group, Cyrus spent nine years serving as a client relationship manager at Mercer, an international consulting firm. During his time with Mercer, he had the unique opportunity to work in both their Los Angeles and London offices, where he employed a consultative approach to business development and client management. Pro-active service, market expertise, and integrity are at the core of each of Cyrus’ relationships. His extensive experience in working with international clients is extremely valuable in his current role when working with the increasingly active pool of multi-national investors.
Cyrus is the Los Angeles Chair for ICSC Next Generation and the Vice President of the University of Southern California Alumni Club of Los Angeles. He holds a BS in Finance from the University of Southern California.
